The Programme committee warmly invites you to submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation.

Breaking News Submissions of e-POSTERS

The councils of SASBi and SAGS have decided to open a category of e-POSTERS, to be presented during the conference.

The format of these presentations will be purely virtual

Anyone is welcome to submit provided that you have registered and paid to attend the conference, either virtually or in person.

e-POSTER submissions closing date is Monday, 18th April 2022

Important dates

Due date for all submissions: extended to 15 January 2022 -  Abstract submissions are closed

Notification of acceptance: 28 February 2022

All presenters of accepted abstracts are encouraged to register by the early bird-date which is by 4 March 2022.


Abstract Guidelines
  • All abstracts are to be written in standard British English
  • TITLE IN CAPS and not more than 20 words
  • Abstracts are limited to 250 words
  • Use only standard abbreviations, gene/protein symbols, and IS units
  • Do not use references in text
  • Please indicate whether you are submitting for oral or poster presentation
  • No graphs or diagrams are permitted
  • Keywords: list in alphabetical order 4 to 6 keywords, separated by a semi-colon

Poster Presentations

Poster presentations will be displayed during the conference in the foyer. Poster sizes is A0 (841 x 1189mm). We request all pictures used on poster to have informed consent.

*note that accepted poster submissions can also be presented virtually
