Conference Dinner

The CSSI 2024 conference dinner will be an immersive experience at the renowned Two Oceans Aquarium.  In addition to admiring the marine life of the oceans surrounding Cape Town, we will learn about ongoing collaborations for marine conservation in the province, participate in the CSSI Lifetime Achievement Award ceremony, and enjoy a traditional South African music performance by Dizu Plaatjies. 

Dizu is a traditional music artist and cultural historian, and he is Professor at the South African College of Music at the University of Cape Town. As a founder of Amampondo, one of the most iconic South African traditional music groups of the last decades, he has travelled world-wide, sharing not just his music but also ideas on cultural exchange with great success. We look forward to sharing this unique experience with all the conference participants!
