Next steps

Mentor-mentee matches for all confirmed participants will be announced one month prior to the event, on Wednesday, March 13th.

In the three weeks preceding the event (March 13-April 3), accepted applicants are responsible for completing the following three preparatory tasks:

  • Check our website regularly to see our line-up of speakers and activities, and enjoy e-meeting your fellow participants.
  • No later than March 20, please upload one (1) slide to introduce yourself to the other participants to our shared Dropbox folder.
    • Each participant’s slide should cover four bullet points: 1) Your current role/affiliation, 2) Your research interest in cross-sector partnerships (current project and/or reasons why you want to step into cross-sector partnership related research), 3) Method approach if applicable, 4) Key insights and/or intended impact
    • Please note the presentation including all slides will be looped during all breaks to facilitate networking
  • Allocate adequate to prepare, and aim to read in advance as many as possible of the 20 materials being showcased. Begin with your assigned mentor’s work, then select the next paper to read based on either the topic or the method that resonates most and/or is most immediately relevant to your chosen project. The better prepared you begin, the more you will benefit from all the interactions taking place during the event and the more meaningful the connections you will build as a result.

Looking forward to an exciting CSSI 2024 Doctoral Consortium.
