Registration Information

The conference currency is South African Rand (ZAR), however we have added the US Dollar ($) equivalent in the text heading of each registration and social fee option for ease of reference.

Please note that the US Dollar ($) amount is what is the rate of exchange based on the time of this registration form set up,  so it may differ to the current exchange rate. Make sure to calculate the current exchange rate using this exchange rate link before making payment.

10 August 2022:  Deadline for early bird registration.

19 September 2022: Deadline for late registration.

Proof of Payments for Electronic Funds Transfers (EFT) should be emailed to meagan.whyte@uct.ac.za

Adjusting registration tickets 

In-person registrations can be changed to online registrations free of charge until the 25 August 2022 and get a refund of the price difference after the conference. 

Following that date, tickets may be changed if external circumstances (such as the pandemic situation in Cape Town) prevent travel to Cape Town.

Online registrations can be changed to onsite until the 01 September 2022. You will be required to pay the difference in the registration costs.

Cancellation Policy

A written notification of cancellation must be sent to SOLAS by email to solas-osc@geomar.de and meagan.whyte@uct.ac.za.

If you have paid and cancel before the respective date below, the following cancellation fee will apply. The remaining will be refunded after the conference.

Cancellation Notice

60-31 days - 50% cancellation fees will apply.

30-14 days - 80% cancellation fees will apply.

14 days or less, 100% cancellation fees will apply.
